LookOut window camera in an Australian home

After the third parcel vanished, I'd had enough.

Ring wanted a monthly fee forever. A pro quoted over $1,000 and wanted to drill my walls — which, as a renter, I couldn't do anyway. Then it hit me: the one place a camera is completely safe from thieves, weather and landlords is behind my own window.

I stuck one to the glass in five minutes, watched my doorstep from my phone that night, and for the first time in months I actually slept. No fee. No drill. Nothing to steal.

Result: peace of mind, finally — and I own it outright.

🚫 No drilling — peel-and-stick, renter-safe, take it when you move

🥷 Nothing to steal — it's behind glass, out of reach

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it really work at night through the window?

It uses colour low-light night vision (not infrared, which would just glare off the glass). With some street, porch or moonlight outside — and indoor lights off near the lens — it gives a clear colour picture. In total darkness with no outside light, footage is limited, so we're upfront about it.

Is there really no subscription?

Correct — there is nothing to pay monthly. You watch live and get alerts in the free app with no memory card at all. If you want clips recorded for playback, add your own microSD card — the footage stays inside the camera and belongs to you. No monthly fee, no cloud charges, ever.

Is a microSD card included?

No — the camera is supplied without a memory card, so you're not paying for one you may already own. It works straight out of the box: pair the app and you get live view, motion alerts and two-way talk on your phone. Add any standard microSD card (up to 128 GB) whenever you want clips recorded and played back in the app. Still no subscription, either way.

Can I use it as a renter, without drilling?

Yes. LookOut™ peel-and-sticks to the inside of your glass with a 3M pad — no drilling, no wall damage, no landlord permission needed, and you can take it with you when you move. Please film your own property only.

Will it spam me with false alerts?

No. AI human detection is built to alert you to people, not every passing cat, car or shadow — so you get the alerts that matter without the phone-buzzing fatigue.

Is this a proper product — and what if it doesn't suit my window?

It's a real 2K camera with local storage and a fully supported app. You're covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee: try it on your window and if it's not right, send it back for a refund.

How hard is the setup?

About 5 minutes: stick it to the glass, plug in the USB power, and scan a code in the app. No batteries, no wiring, no drilling.
